CMG-Beach Cruisin'

Got this jam via email a couple of days ago but just now are we getting around to putting it up because our email has hit a logjam. Anyways, introducing to you CMG, a group from Arizona (shouts 480) that has been gaining popularity as of late. This song, "Beach Cruisin'" is honestly painful to watch right now just because it's still 40 degrees here in the DMV. BUT the video is dope and the song is as well. It's a feel good song that makes you want to, well, go to the beach. Here's a little bit more about the group, courtesy of Stags Flow:

CMG consists of 4 artists all based out of Arizona. They show off all of their musical skills on one very smooth and catchy song released as their first single "Beach Cruisin". First to go is Rapper ERA, Cousin of NFL star Terrell Suggs. Although he is the least experienced of the group he tends to wear his heart on his sleeve unleashing lyrics about his childhood struggles and hard times. ViceVersa is the extremely talented singing duo responsible for the whole concept of the song. At age 21 and 18 ViceVersa signed under KingPen Publishing as songwriters. Their vocals mix exceptionally well with Futuristics rapping capabilities. Futuristic has been rapping since the age of 8 and opened up for various artists in the industry such as Sean Kingston and Petey Pablo. Together CMG is planning to take over the country as a label by creating great creative music combined with a commercial sound.

New Mac Miller track that describes his new lifestyle now that he has basically blown up as one of the most promising young artists out. He uses a faster flow than what we would generally expect from him, but the song is still pretty sick. Listen below and enjoy.

This joint was sent over a couple days ago (been behind on the emails lately) from the man Vee Nyce. Song is by Frank Ocean from Odd Future featuring Dave Raps. Nice song good beat, nice lyrics. Nice to see our boy Dave Raps working with higher end artists (OFWGKTA) as he is definitely climbing the ladder. Anyways song below. Enjoy.

After Tyler the Creator took a shot at a couple of artists on his hit song "Yonkers", one of them has fired back. Bobby Ray released "No Future" a diss back to the group Odd Future. Bob definitely goes in on this track. Not sure it's really a beef though. Despite Odd Futures fame of late, B.o.B. is still the man while Tyler and company still have a lot to prove. Another video this time from OnCue. Dope visuals to a pretty deep song. Love how he connects with his fans and is telling a story of his career. Not a whole lot to say. Another artist who will most definitely blow up in 2011. Watch and Enjoy.

After a break from blogging, I'm back. And. Wow. All I can say about this video by YP and Brenton. Personally I was always a big fan of both of these two but after watching this video I can honestly say I think so much more of them. This video really lets both of their personalities shine and it felt like they were really trying to make it for the fans. Great production by For The Future. Anyways watch and enjoy. By the way, it dropped last night and already has almost 4,000 views.

New track off Tha Carter IV. It's a really sick song, but it sounds a lot like Ricky's I'm Not A Star. In fact, they even use some lines from Ross' song in this one. Regardless, it's worth the download. Enjoy.

Primary Element-Ambition

I was going to post this when it came out about a week ago but I forgot until PE hit us up on Twitter. For those of you who don't know Primary Element is a hip hop group from Silver Spring, MD (Shouts to MoCo) who have been rapping for a while now. The group consists of Mike Wallace, a football player at Penn State, and twins Stephen and Stanley Spottswood (Catholic U and Capital U). This album is very solid and well put together. I wouldn't call there music "party music" per se but it is definitely real and down to earth. Anyways download below and enjoy. Definitely worth a listen.
