The Friendly Giant- Paparazzi Remix

Just heard about this dude, but wow, his stuff is really good. This is just one of his many mash-ups, but being that it's one of my favorites (for obvious reasons: Eminem x Lady Gaga), I thought I would share it with you all. If you want to hear anymore of this guy's stuff, check it out here. Anyways, give this track a listen and enjoy (Download from the player). Sorry about the picture, it's literally the best one I could find.

J. Nolan-How It Feels (Produced by Tuelv)

Just got an email from J. Nolan, an up and coming rapper out of Atlanta, GA via New Haven, CT. With submissions from artist we haven't heard of, we usually are skeptical, but after listening to "How It Feels" those doubts went out the window. Dude is nice with the lyrics and really raps about life as opposed to partying and other bullshit. The beat is simple but at the same time with the message of the song being conveyed, it fits perfectly. The producer, Tuelv, is from Poland. J. Nolan's got a mixtape coming soon called The Loose Files so definitely be on the lookout for that. Anyways, download below and enjoy.

Wiz Khalifa-Roll Up

New song off of Wizzle Man's upcoming album Rolling Papers. The joint is called "Roll Up". Pretty mellow song, very chill. Not my cup of tea when it comes to Young Khalifa but nonetheless it is Wiz so we gotta put it up. Anyways, download below and enjoy.

Wiz Khalifa- On My Level ft. Too $hort (Video+MP3)

Here's the new video for one of the songs set to be on Rolling Papers.  Pretty dope video for a pretty damn good song featuring the west coast legend. I'm including a download link for the song for those of you that don't already have it. Enjoy.

Young Prince-One Night

Sorry it's been a slow couple of days here at SSH. But for those of you waiting for good music... wait no longer. Young Prince is back with another jam called "One Night". This song, just like his others, is sick. To be honest there's not much else to say. If you for some reason haven't heard of YP yet, then you must still be jammin' out to Smash Mouth or some shit. He's out of the DMV and his last mixtape-W.A.R. was dope and the songs he's been dropping lately are as well. Anyways, download below and enjoy.

XV- H.A.M. (Heroes Amongst Men)

Vizzy goes in over the newest Kanye/Jay-Z song produced by Lex Luger. He changes the chorus from "hard as a motherfucker" to "heroes amongst men", which gives it a bit more of a positive vibe than the original. Anyways, listen and enjoy.

Sammy Adams-Coming Home

New Sammy Adams track. It's him over the "Coming Home" beat made popular by Skylar Grey and J. Cole (NOT Diddy). I was never a huge Sammy Adams fan but that's slowly starting to change. He starts the song without his usual autotune and surprisingly it sounds pretty nice. He also sings his own chorus which gives the song a unique feel to it... Although Skylar Grey has a pretty amazing voice. Anyways, download below and enjoy.

Theodore Grams- Saltyface (Video)

Here's a new video that Theodore Grams hooked us up with. It's for his song Saltyface. The intro is a bit long, but once the song starts it's pretty tight. Enjoy.

The White Panda- Infinite Dream

Here's another banger from The White Panda that was first heard in the promo video above. If you haven't heard they're stuff yet, it's really incredible. This time they mash Infinity with Teenage Dream to create an amazing track. I'm also including another song called Fire Dust that is a must hear. For those of you who want more White Panda, check out their official site here. [Shouts to FOC]

AP Bop-Techno Bopper

Just got word of this jam recently and figured I'd post it and let the fans decide. Rap group from Maryland called AP Bop and their new(ish) song called "Techno Bopper". Not bad for a couple of unknown dudes. We posted a song by one of them before here, but this song includes another member of the group, C3K. If you like them check them out on Facebook. Anyways, here's the song. Enjoy.

Techno Bopper

Meek Mill ft. Dave Patten-Believe Me (Video)

New video from Meek Mill and Dave Patten. Dope video to go along with a dope song. Dave Patten is an artist on the rise and Meek Mill, as you may know, has teamed up with Rick Ross and Wale and has made a bunch of music as of late. Anyways heres the video. Enjoy.

Kap Slap- Touch Your Arms Against Me

Wow. Kap Slap's here again with a new jam that mixes Bad Touch, Died In Your Arms, and Hold It Against Me. Absolute crazy mash up that you won't be able to get away from. If you haven't heard any of his other stuff yet, check it out here. Anyways, listen, download, and enjoy.

Collie Buddz- Playback EP

Free music from Collie Buddz! If you haven't heard the song What A Feeling with Paul Wall yet, you gotta get on that, it's an absolute jam. He's got that same kind of quality on this EP. Six real chill, typical Collie songs and two party type songs that are filthy. Check out two of the better songs from the EP and download under the player.

Playback EP Mediafire

Travis Barker- Can A Drummer Get Some ft. Game, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross & Swizz Beatz

Great song that is said to be the official single from Travis Barker's upcoming album. I think it sounds really tight with Travis' drums in the background and some good verses from the the featured artists. Definitely worth the download. Enjoy.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis-Wings

Brand new leak from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis off their upcoming album Wings. Macklemore is a lot different from other artists because they make real music. Everyone can relate to this song, as well as most of their others. It's great. They share stories not music. Anyways, here it is. Brand new stuff. Download below and enjoy.

J. Cole- Pass Me By ft. B.o.B

New stuff from J. Cole featuring Bobby Ray. It has a real chill feel to it and B.o.B adds a great chorus. Download and enjoy.

Lloyd- Lay It Down Remix ft. B.o.B & Rock City

New stuff from Lloyd. Basically exactly what you would expect him to put out but it has a verse from B.oB and the beat is pretty catchy, so it's definitely worth the download. Apparently it actually is Lloyd singing, but to me, it sounds a bit more like Justin Bieber.

Franky Murdock-Intellectual Conversations (Video)

Brand new video from Franky Murdock. Real dope visuals to go with a chill, true track. I say true because it's him expressing everyday issues, not rapping or singing about the typical stuff. Not gonna lie, I've never heard of this cat but the video is a refreshing change of pace compared to the other stuff people are putting out. Still a bit raw but I'll definitely be on the lookout for more stuff. Give it a peep and see what you think. Enjoy.

Dave Raps-Meet the Artist

It's not everyday that you get to interview an up and coming artist before they blow up. Here at Serving Straight Hits, we try and bring you brand new music from artists you may have never heard of before. We were able to land an exclusive interview with Dave Raps, a dude out of New York who is starting to gain some recognition on the blogs and in our opinion, will catch fire in the future. We've featured his work here before, but here is what he had to say to SSH...

Tell us about yourself. Anything you want the readers to know about you?
I'm from Yonkers, NY but I'm going to school in Florida. I feel the fact that I've lived up north and down south gives my music character... I'm not one dimensional.

What got you started in rapping? When did it become serious?
To be honest, I don't know what got me started with rap. It was just something I tried out of nowhere and I fell in love with the feeling it gave me... Crazy

Who have been your inspirations/influences in rapping?
I've always been inspired by Kanye for some years now. He just brings something original to the table each time that no other artist can touch.

How do you find beats for your songs?
I just go on a hunt man. From blogs to forums... anywhere I can find them. Other than that my producer Vee makes a lot of ill joints for me.. and in between spitting on random beats.. he comes up with some heat for me to use.

In 2 years, where do you see yourself?
In 2 years I definitely see myself with my foot in the door... I'm not going to say signed because that's not really a goal of mine because I feel like a lot of times artists get suckered into these wack deals and their music ends up suffering.

What is your favorite song and why?
I don't really have a favorite current song. My all time favorite song is All Falls Down by 'Ye (Kanye).. Just because I felt like I watched the music making process from when it first came out with Lauryn Hill on the hook and then he had to change it to Syleena Johnson. I thought that was dope...

Who is someone you'd like to collab with?
I would love to collab with Chiddy Bang or Lloyd. I feel like me and Lloyd could kill a song with me on the verses and him on the hook.

Rapping: Career or Hobby?
Rapping is definitely a career for me. It's pretty much taken over my life.. That's all I do and I love it.

With a ton of dudes on the blogs claiming they're "different" from everyone else, what sets you apart from the rest of the crowd?
I do whatever feels right.. with my music and everything I do. I go off feelings. So when I make a song, I'm very picky and rewrite a verse a couple times before I lay it down.

Anything else you want to tell SSH?
I got an EP coming out called H.Y.P.E. on February 11th and it's gonna be my best music to date... So check that out!!!

For those of you who still don't know Dave Raps, here is a song from him off his previous mixtape, Too Unknown. Also, we will have another "Meet the Artist" piece very soon. Stay tuned and in the meantime go download Too Unknown and get ready for H.Y.P.E.

Mac Miller ft. Young Scolla-Winner (Untagged)

Untagged version of "Winner" from Mac Miller featuring Young Scolla. Laid back song with some nice lyrics from Mac who is still blowing up on the internet. Young Scolla adds a real nice touch with an impressive voice to help give the song that chill feel to it. Not much else to say other than download below and enjoy.

Tayyib Ali & Brenton Duvall-Pretty Little Penthouse

New song from Tayyib Ali with Brenton Duvall on the keys. Pretty laid back, chill song with some nice lyrics from Tayyib and Brenton of course brings us a dope beat sampling MJ. Anyways, download below and enjoy.

Nick Javas- Opportunity Knocks (Prod. DJ Premier)(Video)

New video for a sick song from Nick Javas, the rapper you may have seen doing all those commercials during the NFL playoffs these past few weeks. It's produced by DJ Premier, so it has that classic feel to it. Watch and enjoy.

Timeflies- Cars, Money and Fame

New song from Timeflies. Not gonna lie, I don't know a whole lot about these guys but this song is on point. Ill beat with nice vocals to go with it. Definitely will be looking out for more from these guys. Until then, download below and enjoy.

Theodore Grams- Imagine (Prod. Xaphoon Jones)

Brand new Xaphoon Jones produced track. Once again, the beat is insane, and he samples part of Kanye's Good Life for the chorus. Theodore Grams brings some great verses for an overall pretty solid song. Enjoy.

Wiz Khalifa- Exit Row Remix ft. Trailblaza

Brand new Wiz featuring some dude I've honestly never heard of. The beat is sick though and Wiz is on point with his verses as always. Enjoy.

Hoodie Allen- Dreams Up

First single of Hoodie Allen's upcoming mixtape. If you guys haven't heard of Hoodie yet, definitely get on that. His last mixtape, Pep Rally, was real dope, and here he just gives us more great music. Enjoy.

Travis Porter- Make It Rain (Remix) ft. B.o.B

Bobby Ray jumps on the Travis Porter strip club anthem and gives us a pretty sick verse. I wish he would have done all three verses, but it's still an improvement.  Unfortunately the song is pseudo edited, with some parts being clean and others dirty. Oh well, I'll take new B.o.B any day. Enjoy.

Young Prince- WAR (Mixtape)

We here at Serving Straight Hits would like to sincerely apologize for being WAY too late on this one. Mixtape from Young Prince called War. If you have yet to hear about YP then you must be living in a cave off the coast of Madagascar or something. Dude reps DC and does it well. relatively new artist on the scene but it won't take long for him to blow up. Download the mixtape below. Definitely worth it. Also go check out his Facebook page if you haven't already. Enjoy.

Snoop and Wiz-That Good (Official Video)

New video from the Boss Dogg and Wizzle Man. No surprise here how the video turned out.

Rihanna- S&M Remix ft. J. Cole

It was already a pretty sick party song from Rihanna, but now J. Cole hops on to give a pretty solid verse. Gives the song a whole new aspect. Enjoy.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis- Irish Celebration (Official Video)

Old song but nonetheless a classic. Macklemore is back with some visuals to go along with this party song. Sick video. Definitely makes you proud to be Irish (if you in fact are Irish). Enjoy.

DJ WhoQuestion-Loaded (Mixtape)

New mixtape from DJ WhoQuestion who we have featured on SSH before. If you still don't know him then your slackin'. Very talented mash up artist out of Brookline, MA. Not much I can say to hype this dude up. Listen to his work to see for yourself. Download below along with the song "African Dance". Enjoy.

DJ Khaled- Welcome To My Hood ft. Rick Ross, T-Pain, Plies & Lil Wayne

I don't know how excited any of you will be for this song, if at all, but I thought I might as well post it. New DJ Khaled featuring a bunch of people. Catchy T-Pain synth chorus with a pretty good beat and a solid Wayne verse. I just wish Plies wouldn't scream so much. Anyways, give it a listen and enjoy.

Consequence- Tell Ya Boss To Holla At Me

New shit from Consequence. For those of you who like simple beats with old school flow, this song is for you. Enjoy.

Wale- I Don't Know ft. Apollo The Great

Sick song from Wale. Has a great rock beat behind some good vocals. The chorus isn't that great, but the verses more than make up for it. Enjoy.

Dave Raps- In the Morning

Fire. New dude on the scene (at least to me) named Dave Raps straight outta the Big Apple. Got word of this guy today through email. As always I was skeptical until I heard his songs. This song "In the Morning" is from his latest mixtape Too Unknown. This cat has mad flow and nice wordplay and is a breath of fresh air when compared to all of the "backpack rappers" out there trying to make it. Also be on the lookout for his first EP which is scheduled to drop in about a month. Below is the link to the video for this song as well as a download link for his mixtape. Enjoy.

Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa-That Good

New joint from the Boss Dogg and Wiz Khalifa called That Good. Nice song if you ask me. Real chill, definitely a smoking song (no surprise here). It is also rumored to be on the soundtrack of the pairs' movie they plan on releasing called "High School", scheduled to be out on 4/20/2011. I wonder what that movie will be about... Anyways, download below. Enjoy.

That Good

Chris Brown- Look At Me Now (ft. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne) & Where Do We Go From Here (ft. Pitbull)

New Chris Breezy. Two pretty good songs with solid features (if you can call Pitbull solid). Anyways, definitely worth the download on both of them. Lookout for Busta and Wayne's verses on the first song. Shit's fire. Enjoy.

Rick Ross- Pandemonium (ft. Wale and Meek Mill) & Made Men (ft. Drake)

Here are two new songs from Ross, both of which are pretty good. Being from DC, I definitely like the Wale track. Never got the final word on whether Wale actually officially signed with Maybach Music, but this is now the second track in the past two weeks that he's made with Rick Ross and Meek Mill. Anyways, check them both out and download from the player.
